Vampires are the talk of the town these days. Whoever I see, talks of vampires and werewolves. People bring up a topic on vampires all the time. Vampires this, vampires that blah blah blah.
I happened to come across one such strange conversation recently. I was in the hospital, sitting in the blood collection counter waiting to give my blood sample. A 14 year old girl was sitting right next to me waiting for the same. I could easily make out the frustrated look on her face, reason - unknown.
The guy in the counter came with a needle and said, “Please clench your fists, I need to take some blood.” “Why? Are you a vampire?” She shot back.
There was not one single comeback to her rhetoric. I didn’t know how to react. Neither did the guy in the counter. Amused by her reply, I couldn’t help but smile. I guess we will never know what her obsession with vampires was.
