The Pocket Love Story - India's smallest love story

The Pocket Love Story, as the name suggests, is a compact love story between Ramchandra Chauhan, a middle class average looking chap and Tani Sharma, a beautiful uber rich girl who happen to be in the same class. This adorable love story will take you through a sweet journey of life of two teenagers. A short compact book that has made its name to the record books for being 'India's smallest love story book'. If starting reading was dangling on your to-do list from quite some time now, then this is the perfect book for you. Only 60 pages long, this book takes not more than of half an hour to complete. It certainly is a beginner's paradise.

The book starts with Ramchandra falling in love with a ravishing beauty who happens to be his classmate. Being heads over heels in love with an irresistible beauty makes him watch her, look at her from the corners of his eye and even stalk, if one might call it that. The protagonist drowns himself in a sea of Things I do in the name of love until she talks to him one day. Random unexpected meetings then turn into dates and discos which finally makes Tani fall in love with Ramchandra. Soon, college approaches the end and they must leave. So what happens next? Do they take their relationship to the next level, or do they fall victims to a not-so-happy ending? Read this pocket book and find out. All you need is half an hour of your time.

As charming as it may sound, being a really compact book, it has it's share of shortcomings as well. Things move pretty fast, which takes some time to settle down in the reader's mind. Also, apart from a few grammatical errors, it is a small, sweet, realistic take on a simple college life love story! All in all, a nice story that somehow fell a little short on narration. If you are expecting a blockbuster, you might fall short of your expectations. But if you read it with a clear mind, who knows, it has got all the aspects that can make you fall in love with it. Read it to experience it.

MY VERDICT: 3.5/5
